My wife Crystal and I have been serving together in ministry for over 13 years now. Soon after we were married we felt compelled to get involved and that became a lifestyle. For years we’ve joked that we were “gap fillers”. Between the two of us we have served in just about every area of ministry, from volunteering in the nursery to senior pastor. Those that know us well would say that we love to serve others with the gifts God has given us. Our passion is to see the Body of Christ be all the God intended from the beginning. Balanced lives reflecting the love of Father God to His children, the kind of love that caused Jesus to step from heaven to earth to a cross. That real kind of love that kept Jesus on that cross to see mankind reconciled to God. We never had words to articulate what we felt in our spirits until we heard Bill Hybels say the local church is the hope of the world. Those words gave voice to what resounded within our hearts.

The Lord has blessed us with four beautiful children, three boys and one girl. Each adds their special element that makes our family complete.

TJ, our oldest (11) has a heart of gold. He loves science, cars and video games. In his free time he enjoys watching Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, The History Channel and some cartoons that just don't make a lot of sense but he laughs. He also serves in the nursery at our church with the toddlers and loves to give.

Caleb (9) lives up to his name in the sense that he has “a different spirit”. He loves to live life to the fullest. We call him our passionate child. He loves things like riding his bike, rollerblading and skateboarding. He would also love to learn to snowboard. He was born in Illinois, has no memory of snow but for some reason he loves it.

Grace (7) is all girl. She loves to dress up, wear makeup and nail polish. Her greatest love is animals, especially dogs. Her favorite toys are her stuffed animals and you will almost never see her without her stuffed Siberian husky named, well, Husky. When she grows up she wants to be a veterinarian.

Timothy (2) has been a wonderful to our family. He is a source of joy and amusement to all. He is our only blond haired blue eyed one in the bunch and he knows how to make us laugh. He also likes to keep things in order, you cannot leave your shoes laying around without him putting them up and if you leave a door open he will drop everything to go and close it.

Our family is our ministry. We love opening our home to others and being able to minister to them by just being us. Not perfect but authentic. We love to laugh but we’re not afraid to cry. We love to cook and often you will find Crystal and I cooking together. Sometimes we'll even have the whole family takes part in cooking, most often pizza night, a bit messy but a great time. We love boating and camping, the guys like to hunt and the girls love to watch “girly” movies and eat popcorn and chocolate.
